WHAT WE DO
Methodist Home for Children’s Juvenile Assessment & Crisis Centers serve boys and girls with histories of mental illness, neglect, trauma, or substance abuse. Referred by juvenile court counselors, youth stay 14 to 30 days for comprehensive testing and observation under the supervision of a licensed psychologist and licensed clinical case managers. They leave with a plan of care that maps out their strengths, areas of focus, goals, and services in their community that can help (therapy, counseling for substance abuse or mental health, educational/vocational training or other).
WE’RE HIRING
We are seeking a licensed Assessment Psychologist to provide clinical oversight for assigned cases at our assessment & crisis center in Winston-Salem, NC.
Responsibilities:
Administer Assessment Center program according to the Agency mission, and to ensure the integrity of program provision that is consistent with the Agency's mission and Model of Care.
Provide oversight and consultative supervision of all Assessment Center staff.
Design and support implementation of Assessment Center protocols employed in service delivery.
Provide and/or oversee psychological testing for clients.
Ensure appropriate assessments are completed for individuals served.
Identify and implement, as appropriate, best practice protocols.
Identify and monitor operational, service, and personal outcomes.
Communicate with Court Services staff regarding individual cases.
Opportunity to work with other licensed Psychologists in the agency in consultation, research, and potential publications.
Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Juvenile Services.
Qualifications:
Doctorate Degree and current license with NC Psychology Board
Full-time, direct service provision experience in diagnosing, treating and evaluating the effectiveness of treatment of the client population served
Advanced writing and editing skills, with strong written and verbal communication and presentation abilities
Willing to learn and interested in supporting research projects.
Capable of overseeing and directing master’s level clinicians

· Paid Holidays: MHFC gives full-time employees paid holidays each year.
· Vacation Leave: First partial calendar year of hire is pro-rated at 10 days (80 hours) per year
· Sick Leave: Paid sick leave is accumulated at 12 days (96 hours) per calendar year. All unused sick leave will carry over into the next calendar year.
