Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families? Methodist Home for Children (MHC) is looking for a dedicated Family Services Specialist to join our mission-driven team.
What You'll Do:
As a Family Services Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting juveniles and their families throughout their journey at the Multipurpose Juvenile Home. Reporting to the Residential Program Manager, you will:
Engage families in the care and treatment of their children.
Promote family reunification and facilitate the successful adjustment of juveniles back into the community.
Maintain an active caseload, providing ongoing support to juveniles and families post-discharge.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized service plans for each juvenile and their family.
Conduct regular family meetings and home visits to monitor progress and provide guidance.
Collaborate with community resources to ensure comprehensive support for families.
Document and report on the progress of each case, ensuring compliance with program standards.
Participate in training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
What We're Looking For:
Minimum age of 21.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
At least 2 years of experience working with families; experience with the target population is strongly preferred.
Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
Ability to complete all required training, including physical restraint, First Aid, CPR, Universal Precautions, and medication administration.
Capability to thrive in a high-pressure, high-stress environment.
